Tools used in the talk

Every tool used in the talk, with setup steps, so you can run the same cycle on your own laptop.

The demos use Claude Code, but you can set up the same workflow with any AI coding assistant you prefer.

Set them up

The demos run on Linux, so every command here is a Linux command. Nearly all of them work the same on macOS. On Windows, install WSL and follow the Linux steps inside it.

0 of 6 complete

  • Chrome web browser installed

The browser the demos run in.

  • Git installed

Version control for everything the agent changes.

  • A GitHub account, with GitHub CLI installed and authenticated using gh auth login, choosing SSH as the Git protocol

Choose SSH when the prompt asks for the Git protocol. Picking HTTPS is the most common reason a push fails later.

  • Node.js 24 LTS or newer installed

The demo app runs on Node 24. An older version will fail to start, so check the number rather than assuming the Node you already have is recent enough.

  • Cloudflare CLI (Wrangler) installed and logged in

Cloudflare’s command line tool, which the agent drives in the demos to work with Cloudflare for you. Sign in with a free Cloudflare account. It installs through npm, so set up Node.js first.

  • Claude Code installed and logged in

The AI coding assistant the demos run from. Any similar assistant works too. Sign in with a Claude subscription or an Anthropic Console account the first time you start it.

Basic programming and Git knowledge is enough to get started. No prior experience with AI tools is needed.
